Biography

Euey C (Born Eugene Crowe) is an Australian Hip Hop artist from Adelaide, Australia. He became introduced to Hip Hop music at only 8 in 1998 after hearing the classic song 'Moment of Truth' by legendary boston group Gang Starr, who are Guru (R.I.P) and renowned producer DJ Premier in a BMX video game which is probably one of the weirdest ways to discover your real passion in life especially at that age but he did and stuck with it.

Hip Hop would play a big part in his later childhood and adolescence as later that year he would be barely diagnosed with a social disability which would eventually make him think for a very long time that he wasn't meant to fit in to normal social circles because of the way he was looked at by his peers and because part of what he was told he had makes him shy and suffer from mild anxiety as well. A few years later he decided to incorporate the mind state of someone like him into verses and songs as a platform to speak his mind and from then knew who he was going to be as an artist.

At 16 after taking himself to the internet and having family history through his father in the entertainment world he got to meet who would one day become his first  major idol and contact within music, Melbourne born MC/Hip Hop artist Mantra (Obese Records/Illzilla/Equills) who is  a son of a family friend he had only met earlier that year. Mantra also gave him the first ever positive feedback he had ever received by someone who was what he wanted to be. Mantra told him to keep pushing himself toward his dream. Euey C now thinks that if it hadn't have been for that one night and that chance meeting he would have quit music a very long time ago because nobody else saw him the same way other than laughing at him for being different.

Not too long after that meeting and his 17th birthday Euey C would become involved in a serious car crash that luckily didn't come off worse than it did as he only lost his right kidney and nothing more. It was while he was in hospital for the first of many visits that he realized just how precious life was, who his true friends really were (no one involved in what he was going through at this point) and he began writing the first songs that were just very rough ideas for his first free album to put out some point after finishing school.

That album is to be called 'These Years Gone By' which is full of tracks based on  an inside look at the world of someone who is chasing a dream that they know they were meant for but keep getting pulled down by the way the world treats them. Tracks about heartbreak, depression, songs based on stories he's heard from the minds of people who have had rough lives, a love song, some normal Aussie Hip Hop tracks, but a majority of it will be based on the real life experiences of someone who has been diagnosed with what he has as it is written in that mind state, not as a cover up as someone like most of his peers in the Australian Hip Hop landscape are.

You can also expect production from ARIA award winning producer M-Phazes, shout outs from Mantra, Dialect & Mind Over Matter plus many more features from Euey C's classification of who the top unsigned emcees in Australia are which is a totally different list to who the public think they are.

'These Years Gone By' is due for release in early 2012.
